Lake County Fair Foundation Accomplishments

Since its inception in 2015, the Lake County Fair Foundation’s mission was to assist in the renovation and beautification of the existing fairgrounds, as well as create/expand the Fair’s educational programs, along with marketing and fundraising support.  The following are projects and activities accomplished: 

• Established Ag & Natural Resource Day (now preparing for year 4)

• Made donations to our local 4-H and FFA communities to assist with loses incurred in the 2015 – 2017 devastating fires

• Phil Lewis Hall restroom renovations

• Red Barn painted

• Phil Lewis Hall painted

• 500 new chairs purchased for the Lake County Fair

• Fair front entry upgrade

• New flooring in the Little Theatre building

• Providing financial support for the renovation of Donley Barn

• New restroom flooring in 3 additional restrooms

• Purchased 99 Junior Livestock animal pens

• Created a scholarship fund for individual(s) that donate and raise an animal for the auction

• Funding for new forklift for the grounds

• Essential electrical work

• Investment in infrastructure, such as restrooms and concessions stands
