Foundation Animal Program

Each year, the Lake County Fair Foundation invites all active 4-H, FFA or Independent participants to apply for the Foundation Scholarship Hog Project. This unique program was designed to recognize outstanding youth of our community involved with the Lake County Fair and provide a fundraising opportunity for the LCFF. The selection process entails completing the application, an interview and a short presentation to the LCFF Interview Committee of why you should be chosen. If you are selected, the Foundation will award you $500-$1,000. In exchange you will be required to raise 1 market hog on behalf of the LCFF. Rainbow Ag will cover the cost of feed. The Grove family will donate the pig. You must be able to provide adequate, safe housing for a pig and raise it to market ready condition.
